Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of Knockline, a door-to-door canvassing tool operated by Opervo. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.
Your account
- You need an account to use Knockline, and you are responsible for what happens under it.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us at help@opervo.io if you think someone else has it.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and at least 16.
- You can close your account at any time. See Support.
Teams and who owns the records
Knockline is usually used by a crew. A manager creates territories and assigns them; reps record the doors they knock.
Using it properly
You agree not to:
- Record information about people in a way that breaks the law where you are working, including rules on do-not-knock lists, recording, and marketing contact.
- Use Knockline to harass anyone, or to store information about someone for a purpose they would not expect.
- Attempt to reach accounts or data belonging to another company.
- Resell or redistribute the app, or take it apart to build a competing product.
You are responsible for what you record. If you collect a name, phone number or email address at a door, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to hold it.
Maps and public records
Knockline draws on Google Maps, on public county property records, and on OpenStreetMap. Those sources carry their own terms and their own errors. Address data can be wrong, out of date, or missing entirely for newly built streets. Treat the map as a guide, not as a record of fact.
Availability
We aim to keep Knockline running, but we do not promise it will always be available. The app is built to keep working without a connection, and to upload your work when one returns, but no offline system is perfect. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can stop using Knockline whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to harm someone, or that puts the service at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Knockline is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Opervo is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email. Continuing to use Knockline after a change means you accept it.
